Art career candle is cast from the very same ceramic figurine which spent two weeks at the Met as part of our first collaboration with Lauren Posada. It is a hand poured green (open) edition.

Torre, Italian for "tower", is an ongoing series of multi colored, stackable, ceramics.
Each modular section of the Torre series is hand thrown to specific diameter and perfectly interlocking. So much so that they are water-tight and a great place to put pedals or branches.
In collaboration Holy Cowow Torre Hc\/\/ editions 1+2 are custom colors that like everything else here are inspired by a great pair of hiking socks or a Hacky sack.

Hand-printed on vintage Issey Miyake hankerchief, which lightly resembles an Agnes Martin painting, framed on linen. A bit of a stretch. Sometimes you just have to make the thing. It's incredibly chic IMO.

It made me think of a rainforest in a science fiction novel written in the 60s when the future was a better place to believe in.

Lauren Posada is a conservator of Oceanic Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and has played a pivotal role in the renovation and reinstallation of that collection since 2019.
For the first H©0c0w collaboration I asked Lauren to design and construct archival storage for a porcelain figurine depicting an artist as a child which I found on the internet. The work was then showcased at the Met Museums Nov 18 - Dec 1 as part of the "Art Work: Artists Working at the Met" exhibition. Deeply grateful for her work and that experience.
